An American divorce counselling firm has made its services available online by
webhosting an online chat platform that gives troubled couples instant access to professional help and a variety of resource materials on divorce and child support mediation.
The site focuses on peaceful, friendly separations unspoilt by the legal process and unnecessary court appointments and custody battles. Instead, New Hope Mediation focuses on helping couples split amicably, saving time, money and the justice system by keeping divorce proceedings outside the courtroom.
The site insists that litigation which usually accompanies divorce is aggressive in nature, pushing otherwise well-meaning couples and peaceable separations into hostile territory.
Executives in charge of the free domain name claims the site allows people to “take control of the divorce process and, in turn, your future, by providing you with the necessary tools of education and empowerment to ensure that the divorce proceeds amicably.” While it is no means a pleasant process, the availability of counselling by proxy should allow couples to take their relationship into their own hands when it matters most.
