Logo.com Set to Launch

The corporation, Logo.com, LLC has announced the purchase of the domain name Logo.com from Sedo, a domain marketing firm. Logo.com paid $500,000 for the domain and will launch the new company in the first quarter of 2011. As the name suggests, Logo.com will be a logo designer specializing in logos and other design and printing services for small business owners.

The company expects to build a world-wide brand and is the brainchild of Alan Townsend and Adam Strong, a pair of internet domain investors and developers who have had strong successes and broad experience in ecommerce and webhosting. Strong is the founder of Strong, Inc., a domain development firm with over $10 million in domain name registration and sales and Townsend is the former President of Ecommerce for Personal Creations, an custom gift service. Townsend also has been a developer and a manager of many domain names, including Christmas.com and other holiday-related domain name registration developments.
